Nice job tying up ALL the loose ends in the final climax. I have read most of her books and this one kept me guessing totally up to the end. I found myself reading faster and faster to get all the answers. When Nicky Sullivan starts looking for a story for her failing investigative news program, she thinks about her childhood home on Pawleys Island, South Carolina, remembering the unsolved deaths of three teenagers that occurred there 15 robardx ago, and turns to the local psychic, her mother Leonora James, for help.

I have read some of her books but several years ago one in particular written with a diabetic girl as a primary character had the facts so skewed I having raised an insulin dependent diabetic son became so angered that I refuse to read another of her books. Fifteen years ago idyllic Pawley’s Island, South Carolina, was rocked by the unsolved, grisly murder of teenager Tara Mitchell and the subsequent disappearance of her two friends.
Hoping for a little spark for her news show, Nikki gets much more than she bargained for when more people start dying. Nicky, with Leonora in tow and John following, charged up it like the little engine that could.

Syperstition, Nicky got her dream-job in NYC, and Joe was going back to NJ, so a relationship was a given, but I think I would have liked to know what would have happened robardw Nicky went back to Chicago instead.
There was a problem filtering reviews right now. They got better as the book went on, but I came close to giving up on the book almost straight away when they came sueprstition as being so one-dimensional and almost irritating, in many ways. It was okay, but I’ve read a lot better. I also enjoyed the paranormal story line woven throughout the book, as Nicole’s mother is a psychic, although her gift appears to be “blocked” throughout much of the story line, which frustrates Nicole, as well as her mother, to no end.
