It is very apparent that the authors have been involved in a variety of integrations and have managed to convert their experience into patterns. Overly verbose, repetitive and clinical. Very good reading even if you plan to work with such messaging solutions like Actors.

Helped me a lot during study of Spring integration framework which uses vocabulary and patterns from the book. I now have a much clearer understanding of messaging patterns, which when I read documentation for modern messaging systems eg RabbitMQI can immediately see the design decisions that were made and the alternatives that exist.

This is a long book but surprisingly easy to read, and engaging enough to read cover-to-cover.

The really good news is pretty much the entire book is online, just do a google search, so buying the Kindle version wasnt really necessary. This is another book I pagterns more developers had taken a look at. Various technologies have been around that promise to solve the integration puzzle.
